On the way back from A.G.R.O. SuperPull 2012, we made a detour in Fort Smith, AR, also known as the 'Hanging City,' where we turned an entire warehouse into a rigging cube.
Collaborating with Hanging City Suspensions, we put together a modified universal man position. With Misty, instead of focusing on the suspension rigging beneath the rig (small ellipse, courtesy of Skin Mechanics Steelworks by the way), we turned all of our aesthetic focus onto the structural rigging; we created symmetry with the span sets around the support beams, the pulleys (CMI + Petzl combos on both side), and the rest of the cord attached directly from the beams in the room to Kevin's body. As per Misty's suggestion, we also made use of a delta quick link to draw the two structural ends together to properly distribute the 3 points of tension at the center.
Working with Hanging City was a blast. They are humble, knowledgeable and incredibly fun to work with. I really look forward to future collaborations with them, and will make a point of steering our ship in their general direction as often as I can. Thanks to the entire team so much for having us!
